Grimsay today is an active crofting community where Gaelic is a living language in the home and workplace. We have a productive lobster and prawn fishery and island-based businesses making the best of our natural resources, as well as historic sites from prehistoric and medieval onwards. We invite you to make Ceann na h-Àirigh your base to learn about island life and traditions – from Kallin Harbour to the Grimsay wheelhouse to the old Stewart boatshed at Kenary – and to explore our beautiful moors and shorelines.
