The former Grimsay Free Church, originally built by the people of Grimsay, was acquired by the Grimsay Community Association and renovated in 2016-17.

Now known as Ceann na h-Àirigh, our complex includes the Grimsay Boat Museum, Post Office, Shop, Café, and local history Archive. We organise exhibitions, talks, and workshops as well as being a venue for community events.

In February 2025, we unveiled plans to complete our Griomasaigh Còmhla project, an ambitious project to ensure we can continue to meet the growing needs of the community and increased number of visitors, as well as ensuring the centre’s long term financial and organisational sustainability. To this end, we launched a major fundraising campaign at a Traditional Ceilidh and Dance in Carinish Hall, and a Family Fun Day, in the summer of 2025, raising over £2700.
